THE PARACHILNA
GEOTHERMAL PLAY
The Parachilna Geothermal Play Project remains the Company's
lead project, having been established as the world's first and
Australia's largest code-compliant Inferred Geothermal Resource
(780,000PJ) demonstrating the potential for a substantial
geothermal field to be established on-grid 280 kilometres north of
Adelaide in South Australia. |

PORT AUGUSTA
PROJECT
Excellent exploration results were obtained at Port Augusta
which is ideally situated adjacent to power infrastructure. Heat flow drilling and seismic has established a large
area of anomalously high heat flow, taking in the Davenport Substation,
an ideal
connection point to the National Electricity Market. |

pipeline
Several new Geothermal Exploration Licences (GELs) were
secured at Port Pirie and Port Augusta, consolidating one of
Australia's largest EGS landholdings.
Systematic exploration is on track to deliver a pipeline of
geothermal hot-rock projects through the application of the
Company's innovative broad-scale heat-flow mapping
and 3D modeling program, designed to discover and delineate
geothermal hot spots within a regional heat-flow anomaly. |

AGL ENERGY
LIMITED (AGL) - DEVELOPMENT PARTNER SECURED
Torrens Energy as an upstream geothermal exploration and AGL
(Australia's largest integrated renewable energy company) as a
downstream operator, have agreed to initiate geothermal project
generation through the delineation and testing of prospective
sites by deep confirmation well drilling. AGL has a first
right to earn into a project by completing a confirmation well at
a target depth of around 4,000 metres, at an estimated cost of $10-15m, in
order to earn a 50/50 participating
basis. |

$7M GEOTHERMAL
DRILLING PROGRAM (GDP) AWARDED
In December 2009 Torrens Energy was successful in being awarded
a $7m grant under the Round 2 Geothermal Drilling Program of the Australian Government Department of
Resources Energy and Tourism. The matched funding will be directed towards achieving
proof-of-concept at the outstanding Parachilna
Geothermal Play in South Australia. The Geothermal Drilling
Program assists
companies seeking to develop geothermal energy by supporting the
cost of proof-of-concept. Proof-of-concept
occurs by deep drilling and successfully testing an identified geothermal
resource. |

Large Tenement Holding
in Prospective Areas
The Company has been granted 27 Geothermal Exploration Licences
(GELs) over 5 project areas in South Australia, and one new
licence in Victoria, covering a total of 21,681km2.

Close to Infrastructure and Markets
The National Power Grid runs through, or is adjacent to, all of
Torrens Project areas, and major roads, towns and the city of
Adelaide are located nearby. Torrens’ tenements are near markets
where substantial power is and will be required.

Experienced Management Team
The Company has secured the services of a
management team that is both experienced and
competent in the highly specialised field of engineered
geothermal systems. |
